Abstract:
Este estudio revisa cómo se ha utilizado la Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE), una herramienta para medir la actividad física en personas mayores que viven en la comunidad. A través del análisis de 232 estudios de 35 países, los autores encontraron que el PASE es ampliamente usado, confiable y con validez aceptable, especialmente en contextos clínicos como artrosis o deterioro cognitivo. Sin embargo, también señalan que aún faltan investigaciones sobre su capacidad para detectar cambios en el tiempo y su utilidad predictiva. En conjunto, el artículo ofrece una visión clara del valor actual del PASE y sus limitaciones.
